Shirang is a very cowardly lobster who is somehow supposed to be the next heir to the lobster gang. Currently in this sad, cowardly state, there is no hope for him. He's seen as a loser, a weakling who can be easily bullied, especially by those mean dolphins, as he says. He's short on money and bad with taxes. Shirang is not doing well, even though he tries his best; often his attempts lead to failure. He's a very introverted, sensitive fellow with only a couple of friends. His uncle tries to encourage him to stand up for himself, but that also doesn't lead to achievements. He seems troubled and anxious. Before he can actually take on the role of the next heir, it seems he has to prove himself as a "waiter" — what a joke he is.
